Naming Ceremony Details and Pricing

A naming ceremony can happen at any time in your child's life. It allows you to celebrate the significance of them in your lives, your transition into parenthood. It is a time to share your hopes, values and wishes for your child

Having a naming ceremony means you can involve the kids and their family or friends if you would like. The ceremony can be designed around who you are as a family. If your kids would like to make an entrance to the Paw Patrol theme tune or want everyone to dress as characters from Minecraft then let’s do it! Or if it’s for your baby and you want a relaxed and serene occasion it’s all possible 

If you are happy to meet up in person once you’ve decide you want a ceremony, I can get a feel for your family dynamic and properly chat through how you would like it to pan out. I have 3 kids of my own so I know that even a well-planned meet up will be hijacked at some point, but we’ll try! The rest can be covered via video call 

Your ceremony can include traditional rituals, ones of your own making, commitment of guardians / guide-parents / godparents or simply a naming and celebration

Price

From £450 for one child, within the M25. I am happy to travel and include more than one child (if siblings) subject to agreement of any additional costs

This includes:

• An initial meeting, usually conducted via video call, to gauge whether I am the celebrant for you. If you decide not to book after this, there is no fee (and no hard feelings!)
• Once you have agreed the terms & conditions, and paid the £100 deposit, then I am solely committed to your child’s naming ceremony on the date you choose
• I will then send you a questionnaire to complete which will help me write the unique script for your ceremony 
• I will also send you suggested readings and examples of wording around your promise to your child(ren)
• We will meet up in person to chat through the questionnaire and get to know each other better 
• We will plan the structure of the ceremony, and any elements you might want included (these we can discuss in person) 
• I will then send a first draft of your ceremony (usually 4 weeks before the ceremony and once the balance is paid) 
• A second draft will then be submitted to you for review and redrafting 
• I will officiate your unique ceremony and be around for any photos should you want me 
• And be available via email, phone, text and video calls to discuss and finalise all details of your ceremony
